Watercolor Wanderers

Diana MacKenzie

This past weekend our newest Every Day Art project began, and guests’ imaginations took off in all directions!

Ludwig Bemelmans famous character Madeline travels to exciting places around the world in the pages of her books.  We’re inviting guests to paint a portrait of themselves somewhere they’ve always wanted to visit, whether it be the Eiffel tower in France or their best friend’s tree house down their street.

This weekend we celebrated Madeline Family Day and the opening of the exhibition in our East Gallery, Madeline at 75: The Art of Ludwig Bemelmans.

This project, Watercolor Wanderers runs now through December 18, 2014.

Making Art with Children is generously sponsored by the Massachusetts Educational Financing Authority.
