PROGRAM CANCELED: The Special Storytime is canceled. You can still join the weekly 11am Saturday storytime led by Museum Staff. We hope to reschedule the Special Storytime for a later date. 

Join mother/daughter team Ruth and Whitney Sanderson for an interactive storytime featuring their new board books, Good Morning Farm Animals and Good Night Farm Animals. The stories encourages children to move, moo, and stretch along with the characters in the book as they mimic the movements of farm animal friends. Can they frolic like a lamb? Balance like a goat? Author Whitney Sanderson and artist Ruth Sanderson will read their books as the audience is encouraged to imitate the sounds and movements of the animals they see during this fun-filled storytime!

Ruth Sanderson

Ruth Sanderson

Ruth Sanderson is the renowned illustrator and author of over 80 books for children. Her fairytale retellings have been widely praised and much loved by children everywhere. She has also illustrated book covers, fantasy art, collector’s plates, animation concept art, and product design. She teaches writing and illustrating for children in a summer graduate program at Hollins University.

Whitney Sanderson

Whitney Sanderson is the author of many stories for young readers, including books in the Horse Diaries and Unicorns of the Secret Stable series. She has a master’s degree in psychology and has worked as a mental health counselor. She lives in Massachusetts with her family and pets.
